The Meadow Flat
The Meadow Flat is a first floor apartment on a quiet road in Shanklin. It's for two people. You get one bedroom and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.
You're less than a mile from the beach and the town centre, so you can walk it in about twenty minutes. The road is quiet, which is nice.
The apartment has its own allocated parking space. Inside, there's a washing machine, TV, and WiFi included. All the bedding and towels are there for you.
Shanklin's a good base. The seafront has the usual stuff, and the old village has thatched cottages and tea shops. The local shop and a pub are about half a mile away. Sandown is next along, with a zoo, a pier, and amusements.
If you're driving, Ventnor Botanic Garden is very close, just a few minutes south. In under half an hour you can get to places like Carisbrooke Castle or Osborne House. The sailing towns like Yarmouth and Cowes are about a 30 minute drive, depending on traffic.
The coastal path is excellent for walking right from the door. For planning days out, the National Trust Isle of Wight page is useful, as is the Visit Isle of Wight site.
