Westgate Cottage is in St Lawrence, just outside Ventnor. It's a detached stone cottage, about four hundred years old. It used to be the coach house for the big place next door. You can still see the old cobbles and the iron rings where they tied up the horses.
It sleeps eight in four bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The garden is walled and gated, so it's secure for dogs and kids. It's got a table and chairs, a barbecue, and a table tennis table. You can arrange to rent a hot tub from a local company if you want one.
The village has a post office shop, about half a mile away. The closest pub is a mile and a half. The beach at Steephill Cove is nearby. It's a proper cove, not commercial. You can sometimes buy fish and lobster straight off the boats there.
Ventnor has a seafront and the Botanic Garden is worth a visit. For walking, you're right in the Isle of Wight Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The coastal path is on your doorstep.
Further out, you've got Osborne House near East Cowes and Carisbrooke Castle. The Needles are about a forty minute drive. Driving on the island takes a bit longer than you'd think.
Inside, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair. Parking for two cars on the drive. You can bring up to three dogs.
