Oak Barn - Fernhill Farm
Oak Barn is on Fernhill Farm, near Wootton. It's one of four barns here. The farm isn't working, so it's quiet.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. That's handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a barn conversion, so there are wooden beams in the ceiling. There's a wood burner in the living area.
You've got an enclosed garden out the back with a patio. There's a table and chairs. It's private.
Wootton is close if you need a shop. Ryde is a short drive. That's where the main beaches are, with the long pier and all the shops. The beach at Ryde is sandy when the tide's out.
From here, you can get to most of the island within half an hour. Cowes is about twenty minutes. The needles and Alum Bay are maybe forty. Osborne House is very close, just the other side of East Cowes. The English Heritage page for Osborne has all the visiting details.
Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, and the wood burner. You can bring up to three dogs. The garden is enclosed.
