Bodwen Corner Cottage is in Wootton, on the Isle of Wight. It's a ground floor apartment, attached to the main house. The place used to be the old kitchens when this was a Victorian country house. You get a private garden, about an acre and a half of it, out the back. The main estate is nine acres.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, one of those is an en-suite. It's a 4 Star place. The layout is all on the ground floor. The kitchen is a good size, with doors out to the patio. The living room is cosy.
There's a separate shed in the garden called 'The Drey.' The kids can use it for playing or crafts. There are some outdoor games in there too. We've got red squirrels in the garden sometimes. There's an outside tap for washing off muddy boots or bikes.
You're about a ten minute walk from the coast at Wootton Creek. The local pub and a shop are a mile away in Wootton village. Ryde is four miles from here. That's where you'll find a big sandy beach, shops, and places to eat.
If you're looking for things to do, Osborne House is a big draw. It was Queen Victoria's summer home. The Isle of Wight Steam Railway at Havenstreet is good for a trip out. For a day out with rides and walks, there's Robin Hill Country Park. The whole island is good for walking and cycling.
Facilities: there's parking right outside. You've got a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. The garden has a patio and a BBQ. No pets, sorry.
