The Coach House is on our farm in Hillgrove, near Wootton on the island. It's a two-storey building that used to be the actual coach house. Sleeps four, two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
You're on a small working farm. It's quiet here. There's an ancient woodland right behind the property, which is good for a short walk. You'll see plenty of wildlife, including red squirrels if you're lucky. We've got wildlife cameras you can borrow for the kids.
The stairs inside are a typical cottage staircase, so they're a bit steeper than modern ones. Just something to be aware of.
The village of Wootton is about a mile away. There's a shop there, a post office, and a couple of pubs. The closest pub serving food is about half a mile down the lane.
For beaches, Ryde is the nearest, about five miles. It's a sandy beach with all the usual stuff. Newport is three miles for bigger shops. If you want to see the proper island sights, The Needles and Alum Bay are about a 40-minute drive. Osborne House is a similar distance, and Carisbrooke Castle is about twenty minutes away.
In terms of what's here, you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs.
