Rosemary
This place is called Rosemary. It's a shepherd's hut on our site in Wootton Bridge on the Isle of Wight. It's for two people, just the one bedroom and bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable, but it is still a hut at the end of the day. It's compact.
You've got your own enclosed patio bit out the front with a table and chairs and a barbecue. It looks out onto the shared grounds. The French doors open right up which is nice on a good day. It's detached, so no one's sharing a wall with you.
We take one dog. The flooring is easy to clean. There's WiFi and parking right next to the hut.
Wootton Bridge itself is quiet. There's a Co-op about five minutes drive away for basics. The site is peaceful, you'll hear birds.
Ryde is a short drive. They've got a long sandy beach there and the hovercraft terminal to go over to Portsmouth. For a bigger beach day, Sandown is about twenty minutes in the car. You're well placed for the whole island really. Newport is ten minutes for bigger shops.
The coastal path is the main thing for walking. You can pick it up at various points. Osbornes Steam Laundry in Wootton is an unusual visit if you're interested in that sort of thing.
