The Camber is a house in Cowes on the Isle of Wight. It's over in the West Cowes part of town. It sleeps ten people across five bedrooms and has three bathrooms.
It's a reverse-level house. That means the main living room is on the ground floor and the kitchen is on the floor below. It's an old house and it's got five floors in total. The stairs are typical of a house this age, so they're a bit steep and you might need to watch your head in a couple of places.
The place was completely redone a few years ago. It's got a 4 Star rating. The beds are good and all the bedrooms are a decent size. Two have views over the park next door and some look towards the marina.
Downstairs there's a big kitchen that opens out to the patio. There's also a games room with a pool table and table tennis. Outside is an enclosed garden with a couple of seating areas and a BBQ.
You're right next to Northwood Park, which is good for dogs. Cowes High Street and the harbour are a short walk downhill. There's a mix of independent shops and restaurants. The nearest beach is about a seven minute walk.
If you're sailing, Cowes Yacht Haven is a three minute walk. The Red Jet ferry terminal is very close if you're coming over from Southampton without a car.
On the island, there are plenty of coastal paths for walking. The sailing events in Cowes are most weekends through the summer. Further out, places like The Needles, Osborne House, and Ventnor are all within a thirty minute drive.
Facilities: everything on the list is there. Wifi, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs. There's a cot and highchair if needed.
