Still Waters

Still Waters is in Hill Head. It's a modern bungalow built specifically for accessibility. It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's practical and clean.

The layout is all on one level from your front door. There's a ground floor bedroom with a large en-suite wet room. All the bedrooms have their own bathroom. There are grab rails and hoist points in places, and the kitchen worktops can be adjusted for height.

It's linked to the main house by an internal door, which is kept locked. There's also a flat above, but you have your own private space. The garden looks out over a private lake towards Titchfield Haven. It's a shared garden, so the owners might be about. You get ducks and birds visiting from the nature reserve.

You're a few minutes' walk from Hill Head beach. It's shingle, good for sailing and windsurfing. Dogs are allowed on the beach all year but need to be on a lead on the promenade.

Inside, it's got wooden floors and leather sofas. There's a TV in each room. The kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer. French doors lead out to an enclosed patio with a barbecue.

Parking is behind secure gates, so there's plenty of space. One well-behaved dog is welcome.

For days out, the Titchfield Haven National Nature Reserve is right there for birdwatching. Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is about half an hour's drive. The Visit Hampshire site has ideas for the wider area.
