Still Waters is in Hill Head, right on the Solent. It's a modern bungalow, designed for accessibility. I had it built flat, so there are no steps anywhere inside. The floors are oak, which is practical.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. One bedroom is on the ground floor. The main en-suite is a wet room.
The garden is shared with us, as we live in the main house next door. It's a natural garden that backs onto our private lake. You'll see ducks and birds from the reserve. We sometimes see deer and badgers at dusk. The terrace is enclosed and has a barbecue.
Hill Head beach is a five minute walk. It's shingle. Dogs are allowed all year but must be on a lead on the promenade. It's popular for sailing and windsurfing. You can fish from the shore.
The kitchen has height-adjustable worktops. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer. All the bedding and towels are included.
You can bring one dog. There's parking behind a secure gate.
The Titchfield Haven nature reserve is right there. It's excellent for birdwatching. Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is about twenty minutes by car. The New Forest is roughly half an hour away.
