Stable Cottage
Stable Cottage is a bungalow next to our house in Newport. It's detached, so it's just you out there. It sleeps two people, with one bedroom and a shower room.
It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean and has what you need, but it's not a luxury suite. It's a straightforward place.
You get a garden at the back and a decked area at the front. The kitchen and living space are open plan. There's a washing machine, and bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. Parking is right there on the drive.
It's a handy spot for getting around the island. You're pretty central. The beach is about a twenty minute drive. There's a shop a few minutes' walk away, and a pub and a restaurant about half a mile down the road.
Carisbrooke village is close by. Carisbrooke Castle is there, which is worth a look if you like history. A lot of people come here to cycle. The old railway tracks are good for that, or you can do the full round-the-island route if you're up for it.
For days out, you've got places like The Needles, Osborne House, or the sailing towns like Yarmouth. Cowes is known for the sailing week. All of that is within about half an hour's drive.
