Grove Barn
Grove Barn is on the Isle of Wight, just outside Newport. It's a detached barn conversion. You can get a view of the castle ruins from the garden. There's a hot tub.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star. It's got a wood burner for heating, and the ceiling has exposed beams. If you're tall, watch your head on some of them.
It's in the countryside, good for walks straight from the door. Newport is a short drive for shops and places to eat. The Monkey Haven and Robin Hill Country Park are a couple of miles away, if you've got kids with you.
For beaches, you've got options. Head west for quieter, pebbly coasts. Head south-east for the main resorts like Shanklin and Sandwon, with sand, amusements, that sort of thing. The Needles are at the west end of the island, about a 40-minute drive.
What's here: it's got a dishwasher, wifi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot. You can bring two dogs.
