Sandrock is in Brighstone, down a quiet lane. It’s detached, so no one next door. The garden is lawned and enclosed. The view from the back is fields, all the way out to the sea in the distance.
It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There’s one bathroom. It’s a 4 Star place, so it’s comfortable and well looked after. The master bedroom has a sea view. There’s a conservatory too, which is nice when the sun’s out.
Brighstone village is about half a mile away. You can walk it. There’s a shop, a couple of pubs that do food, and a museum. The thatched cottages are nice to look at.
You can get straight onto footpaths from the house. They lead up onto the Downs or down to the coast. The Tennyson Trail is up there. You can walk all the way to the Needles from here if you’re feeling energetic. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coast.
The west coast beaches are about ten minutes by car. Compton Beach is sandy and good. For cycling, the quiet lanes are ideal and the Round the Island route goes through the village. There’s bike storage here.
Things within a half hour drive: the Needles, Carisbrooke Castle, Osborne House, and Blackgang Chine. The Visit Isle of Wight site has more ideas.
Facilities: it has a woodburning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There’s parking and an electric vehicle charger. It’s pet friendly, up to two dogs. We provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them.
