The Farmhouse is in Brook, which is on the west side of the Isle of Wight. It's an old building, from 1820, but it was all done up a few years ago. It's big, sleeps eleven people. Five bedrooms, and each one has its own bathroom, which is handy with a group that size.
The main bit downstairs is all open plan. Kitchen, living room, big dining table. The windows look out over the garden. There are patio doors out to the garden, which has a seating area and a gas barbecue.
It's on three floors. The stairs are normal house stairs, not the steep cottage kind. There's a utility room with a washing machine, and a downstairs toilet.
Brook Bay is about two minutes away by car. The sunsets from that beach are very good. You're well placed for the rest of the west coast too.
If you want to go further, a lot of the main sights are within half an hour by car. The Needles, Carisbrooke Castle, and Osborne House are all in that range. Ventnor Botanic Garden and Shanklin Chine are a bit further, maybe forty minutes. For planning days out, the National Trust Isle of Wight page is useful, and so is Visit Isle of Wight.
Facilities: all the bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, WiFi, TV, dishwasher. Parking for a few cars on the drive. You can bring two dogs.
