The Farmhouse
The Farmhouse is in Brook, on the west side of the Isle of Wight. It's a big, old house from the 1820s. It sleeps eleven, which is a lot. Five bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, which is handy with a crowd.
It's been done up. It's a 5 Star place, so everything is new and works properly, but they kept the beams and the high ceilings. The main room downstairs is all open plan: kitchen, living area, and a big dining table. The doors go straight out to the garden. There's a patio with seating and a gas barbecue.
The stairs are normal, not too steep. It's on three floors.
Brook beach is about two minutes away by car. The sunsets from that side of the island are very good. For a longer walk, the coast path is accessible.
If you want to go out, you're about half an hour from most things. The Needles are up the coast. Ventnor Botanic Garden is to the south. Osborne House is in East Cowes. Carisbrooke Castle is near Newport.
It's got the things you'd expect: wifi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking.
