Lapwing
The Lapwing is in Yarmouth, Isle of Wight. It's an end-of-terrace house, so you've got windows on two sides. It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one of which is a shower room on the ground floor.
It's been updated. The kitchen has those big folding doors that open right up into the courtyard garden. It's a private, walled space. There's underfloor heating in the ground floor shower room, which is good if you're coming back from the beach.
You're about 200 yards from the sea and the town square. Yarmouth is small, it's a harbour town. The local shop and a couple of pubs are the same distance. The ferry from Lymington arrives right there.
From the door, you can walk along the River Yar estuary. The path goes out towards Freshwater Bay and up onto Tennyson Down. If you keep going, you'll get to The Needles. Totland Bay is close by, it's a gentle beach. They have a cafe and restaurant there.
The house has Wi-Fi and a TV. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, and bike storage. Bedding and towels are included. There's no charge for electricity. Sorry, no pets.
If you're bringing a car, the parking is on-street. It's usually fine, but it can get busy in the summer.
