This is the Lapwing. It's in Yarmouth, about two hundred yards from the harbour square. It used to be a village shop. It's an end-terrace house, sleeps six, three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one's a shower room on the ground floor.
The rating is 5 Star. It's been updated, so it's in good shape. It feels light and spacious. The kitchen has those big folding doors that open right up into the enclosed courtyard garden. Good for sitting out.
You're very close to everything here. A couple of minutes walk and you're at the sea, or in the square. There's a shop and a pub just up the road. The River Yar and the nature reserve start at the bottom of the town, good for a quiet walk.
For beaches, Totland Bay is nearby. It's sand and shingle, gentle slope into the water. They've got a cafe and a restaurant there. The views across to the mainland are very clear.
If you like walking, you can pick up the path to Tennyson Down from here. That takes you all the way along to The Needles and Alum Bay. It's a proper coastal walk. The island is good for cycling too. There's a flat track on the old railway line, or you can try the more challenging routes. There's storage for bikes here.
Inside, it's got what you'd need. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. The utilities are all in the price. There's a BBQ in the garden. No pets, sorry.
