Halcyon

Halcyon is in Freshwater on the Isle of Wight. It's a semi-detached cottage, about a ten minute walk from Freshwater Bay.

It sleeps four. There are three bedrooms upstairs: two doubles and a single. One bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up recently so it's in good order. The garden is mainly lawn with a patio bit. There's a table and chairs out there.

Inside, there's an open fireplace in the living room. It's got a Smart TV. The kitchen door leads out to the garden. The stairs are standard.

You can walk to the local shops and a couple of pubs. Freshwater Bay itself is good for a paddle. For a longer beach, Compton Bay is about ten minutes by car. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coast around there.

The Needles are a short drive away. The Tennyson Trail starts nearby if you like walking. The Military Road has good views out to sea.

Facilities: WiFi, washing machine, dishwasher, parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. It's listed as having a wheelchair accessible entrance, but the bathroom is upstairs, so do check the specifics if that's important for your group. No pets.

You get the ferry from Lymington, Southampton or Portsmouth. Yarmouth is the closest port, about three miles away.
