Moonbeam House is in Freshwater, on the Isle of Wight. It's a Victorian terrace house, built for retired navy officers back when Victoria was on the throne. The views out to sea from the front are protected, so they'll stay clear.
It sleeps six. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms, spread over three floors. It's got a 4 Star rating. The garden is at the back, and it's enclosed. There's parking on the drive.
The stairs are fairly typical for a house this age. They're fine, but not what you'd call gentle. Some of the doors are a bit lower than you might be used to as well.
You're about five minutes' walk from the beach at Freshwater Bay. The local pub is even closer, maybe a two-minute walk. There's a shop a bit further up the road.
If you're walking, Tennyson Down is right there. It's a good stretch of the legs and the views are brilliant on a clear day. For a longer coastal walk, you can follow the path towards the Needles. The National Trust looks after a lot of the land around here.
If you've brought bikes, there's space to store them inside. The old railway track that runs from Yarmouth to Freshwater is flat and good for a family cycle. The more serious route around the whole island starts nearby too.
Inside, there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, Wifi, and the bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
For planning days out, the Visit Isle of Wight site is useful. Cowes is about a half-hour drive if you're interested in the sailing.
