Bay Cottage
Bay Cottage is on Brook Farm, just inland from Brook Bay. It's one of four cottages converted from the old stable block.
It sleeps eight, mostly. There are three proper bedrooms: one king-size with an en-suite shower room, one double, and one twin. The sofa bed in the living area makes up the eighth spot. There's also a family bathroom with a shower.
The main room is open plan, so the kitchen, dining, and sitting area are all together. It's a decent size for everyone to be in. The kitchen is fine, it has a dishwasher.
Outside, you have your own private garden. It's walled, quite sunny. The sunsets from this side of the island, looking over towards the mainland, are very good.
It's about a two minute drive down to Brook Beach. You can walk it, but it's along a lane.
For other things to do, the whole south-west coast of the island is close by. The National Trust looks after a lot of it. Freshwater Bay is ten minutes away. The Needles are about twenty minutes by car. Osborne House and Carisbrooke Castle, run by English Heritage, are both within half an hour.
It's a five-star rated place, so it's well equipped. The facilities list is accurate: towels, bedding, WiFi, parking, washing machine, cot. We take up to two dogs. It can be booked with the other cottages here if you've got a bigger group.
