Bay Cottage is in Brook, on the west side of the Isle of Wight. It's one of four cottages converted from an old stable block. You get a private garden, which we call the Secret Garden. It's enclosed and gets the sun in the afternoon.
The cottage sleeps eight, which might sound a lot for three bedrooms. That's because it's got a kingsize in the main bedroom with its own shower room, a double room, a twin room, and a really decent sofa bed in the living area. There's a second bathroom with a shower over the bath. It's a 5 Star place, so it's well equipped and comfortable.
Outside, you've got your own parking space. Inside, there's wifi, a TV, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and all the bedding and towels are provided. We can also put a cot in for you. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome.
Brook Beach is the closest bit of coast. It's about a two minute drive, or a fifteen minute walk if you don't mind the hill back. The sunsets from the beach are very good. For a bigger beach with facilities, Compton Bay is about five minutes by car.
If you want to explore, The Needles are about a ten minute drive. The National Trust owns a lot of the downland and coast there, so it's good for walks. National Trust Isle of Wight has the details. Tapnell Farm Park is nearby if you have kids. For a day out, Osborne House is about twenty five minutes drive. English Heritage Osborne is their site. The cliffs at Tennyson Down are a good walk, and you can get to Freshwater Bay from there.
