Orion
This is Orion, one of the cottages at Rossiter's Vineyard Barn in Wellow. It's a single-storey terraced place. The name comes from an old grape variety.
It sleeps four in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. The living area is open plan with wood floors and some beams. It's bright and straightforward.
Outside is a decked courtyard. The garden is shared, but it's lawned and enclosed. There's parking on site.
The cottage is all on one level and has a wet room with grab rails, so it suits guests with limited mobility. The stairs to the mezzanine bedroom are quite steep though, just so you know.
Wellow is a quiet village. The local shop and pub are about a mile away. They're fine. For a bigger shop, Yarmouth is less than three miles. You can drive it in five minutes. It's a proper harbour town with ferries and places to eat.
Colwell Bay is the nearest beach, about three miles. It's good for swimming. If you want to surf or look for fossils, Compton Bay is about a twenty minute drive west. The Needles and Alum Bay are a bit further on from there.
If you're walking, the Tennyson Trail starts nearby. For cycling, there's a flat route on an old railway line. The full Round the Island route is 66 miles if you're up for it.
Inside, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. A cot and highchair are there if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
