Westfield

Westfield is in Cranmore. It's a detached bungalow down a rough farm track. It means it's quiet and you get a decent bit of garden to yourselves.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and everything works, it's just not overly modern.

It's a rural spot. You get red squirrels in the trees and a buzzard often sits on the fence post. The view from the windows is just fields and trees.

For facilities, you've got the basics: parking, wifi, TV, a washing machine and a dishwasher. There's a wood burner for cooler nights. We provide the bedding and towels. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.

There's a local pub about a ten minute walk away. For a shop or more choice, you'd need to drive. Yarmouth is the closest proper town, about ten minutes by car. It's a small harbour place. They've got cafes and places to eat there. Yarmouth Castle is worth a look if you're into history.

You can get to the coast in a few minutes drive. The western side of the island, like Compton Bay and Freshwater, is good for beaches and walking. It's all within fifteen or twenty minutes. If you want to explore further, National Trust Isle of Wight has good information on their sites and walks.
