Sea Brees lies in Totland, on the west of the Isle of Wight. It’s a semi-detached house, sleeps six, and is rated 4 Star. It’s been refurbished recently, so it’s clean and straightforward inside.
The layout is a bit different. There’s a double bedroom and a toilet downstairs, which is handy if stairs are a problem. Upstairs there are two more bedrooms, one with a big bed that can be split into twins, and a twin room. There’s a family bathroom and a separate shower room, so two proper loos in total.
The stairs are fine, just standard cottage stairs. The garden is enclosed, with a patio. There’s space to store bikes if you bring them.
Totland Bay is about a five minute walk away. It’s a shingle and sand beach, good for swimming and the sunsets are great. There’s a bar, a restaurant, and a cafe there too. Colwell Bay is next door along the coast path. The local shop is very close, maybe 20 yards. There’s a pub and a restaurant about a mile away.
If you want to explore, Yarmouth harbour is two miles. Compton Bay for surfing is about a 15 minute drive. The Needles landmark is ten minutes west, with the chairlift and coloured sands at Alum Bay. You can see dinosaur footprints on the beach at Hanover Point when the tide is out.
Places like Osborne House, Carisbrooke Castle, or Blackgang Chine are all within a 30 minute drive. Cowes is about a 25 minute drive across the island.
The facilities are what you’d expect: washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi, parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome.
