This is Plover Cottage. It's in Milford on Sea. The locals sometimes call it 'the curious angular house'. It's detached and about 200 years old. It was the shoemaker's place first, then the dentist's surgery.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after.
The location is good. The beach is a ten minute walk. There's a shop about 500 yards away, and a pub and a restaurant are 200 yards away. They're decent. For birdwatching, Sturt Pond and the marshes are five minutes walk. There's a hide there.
You can walk along Hurst Spit to Hurst Castle. That's about a mile and a half. You can get a ferry from Keyhaven to it as well. The cliff top walk to Barton-on-Sea is nice. There's a cafe on the way. The village has Victorian Pleasure Gardens next to the river. The coastal path from Keyhaven to Lymington is good if you like a longer walk with good views.
If you drive, Lymington is about five miles away. It's got a harbour, shops, and the ferry to the Isle of Wight. The New Forest is right there for walks and cycling. Beaulieu Motor Museum and Bucklers Hard are nearby. The bigger beaches like Bournemouth and Sandbanks are within half an hour.
For facilities: it's detached with its own enclosed garden. There's parking. Washing machine, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs.
