Laurel Cottage is in Sway. It's joined on to my house, but you've got the place to yourselves. It's for two people, one bedroom, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, which just means it's been checked and it's comfortable. It's not huge, but it's bright and feels spacious for a cottage.
You're down a lane off the main road, so it's quiet. The back patio catches the sun in the afternoon. It's a small garden, but it's yours to use.
The New Forest starts pretty much at the end of the lane. A five minute walk and you're in it. You'll see the ponies. They wander about everywhere. Good for walks or cycling.
Sway village is also about five minutes walk the other way. There's a shop, a couple of pubs that do food. It's a proper village, they have fetes and things.
Lymington is a short drive, maybe ten minutes. That's where the big harbour is, lots of shops and places to eat. You can get the ferry to the Isle of Wight from there if you fancied a day trip.
The coast is close. Milford-on-Sea or Barton-on-Sea for the beach, about a fifteen minute drive. Bournemouth and Poole are a bit further, maybe forty minutes depending on traffic.
If you like walking or want to plan trips, the New Forest National Park Authority site is useful. For other local attractions, Visit Hampshire has good information.
Inside, there's a washing machine, a TV, wifi. Bedding and towels are included. You can park on the drive. No pets, sorry.
