Lymington Lodge is a detached single-storey lodge. It's set back from the road, about twenty metres from the shore path. It's very private on its own plot.
It sleeps two. One bedroom with a super king bed, and a shower room with a walk-in shower. It’s got a 4 Star rating which means it’s well-equipped and comfortable. Everything is on one level and the doorways are wide, which is good for wheelchair access. The patio area is decked and enclosed.
Inside it's open plan. There's a decent kitchen with a dishwasher, a sitting area with a TV and a wood burner, and the bed at one end. The French doors let in a lot of light.
The location is quiet. You can hear the sea when it's windy. Walking along the shore path from the gate is straightforward. The town centre of Lymington is about a mile away. There’s a good local pub within walking distance, and a golf course nearby.
Lymington itself is nice. Cobbled streets, independent shops, and a Saturday market. It’s a sailing town with two marinas.
You’re right on the edge of the New Forest National Park. You’ll see the ponies. Good for walking and cycling. Hurst Castle is about a twenty-minute drive along the coast. The ferry to the Isle of Wight leaves from Lymington pier.
Facilities wise: there’s on-site parking, bike storage, WiFi, bedding and towels are included, and the electricity is covered. No pets, sorry.
