Cliff End

Cliff End is a bungalow on the west coast of the Isle of Wight, near Freshwater. It's one of a pair, semi-detached. You're up on the cliffs, so the view is really the main thing. You can see right out over the Solent and the Channel. On a clear day you can see The Needles from the patio.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and comfortable but not fancy. Everything is on the ground floor. The layout is open plan.

There's a patio and garden area that's yours to use. Parking is right outside.

You're on the edge of the coastal path, so you can walk straight out onto it. The site itself has a pitch and putt course, a play area, and that sort of thing.

Colwell Bay beach is about a twenty minute walk away. It's sandy and shingle, good for swimming. There's a cafe and a restaurant there. For a bigger beach with surf, Compton Bay is about a ten minute drive. The National Trust looks after parts of it, and you can sometimes see dinosaur footprints there at low tide.

In the other direction, Yarmouth is a short drive. Fort Victoria is there, and they have a red squirrel feeding station. If you carry on east, you'll get to Cowes.

The main island attractions are within about half an hour's drive. That includes The Needles Landmark park, Osborne House, and Carisbrooke Castle. The English Heritage site for the castle has opening times.

There's a shop about five minutes walk away. The nearest pub and restaurant are in Totland, about a mile and a half.

Facilities are straightforward: TV, washing machine, bedding and towels are provided. No pets.
