Cliff End

Cliff End is a bungalow in Freshwater on the Isle of Wight. It's semi-detached, one of a small group of places up on the cliff. You can see the sea from the patio, and the Needles are off to the left.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. Everything is on the ground floor, no stairs. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's clean and comfortable, but not luxurious. The layout is open plan.

The position is good. It's quiet up there. You can watch the boats on the Solent. The coastal path is right there if you want a walk. On the site itself there's a pitch and putt course and a play area for kids.

Colwell Bay beach is about a ten minute walk downhill. It's a nice sandy beach, good for swimming. There's a café and a bar there. For a bigger beach with surf, you drive to Compton Bay. That's about a ten minute drive. You can see dinosaur fossils there at low tide.

Yarmouth is a few minutes away by car. You can get the ferry from there. The Needles Landmark Attraction is about a ten minute drive west. If you want to explore, National Trust Isle of Wight has lots of places, like the cliffs at Tennyson Down. English Heritage looks after Carisbrooke Castle, which is about twenty minutes drive.

Facilities: there's parking, a garden, TV, and bedding and towels are included. No pets. There's a shop about five minutes walk away. The nearest pub for a meal is in Totland, a mile and a half down the road.
