Hampton House

Hampton House is on Freshwater Bay, Isle of Wight. It's a detached house that sleeps twelve, in five bedrooms with four bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating.

The house is across the road from the beach. It's a short walk down to the sand. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got a dog or kids. There's patio furniture and a BBQ.

Inside, it's a big family house. There's a log burner in the main living room. It's got an Xbox 360. Upstairs, there's another sitting area with a window seat, and a new glass balcony that looks out over the bay. That was put in this year.

For facilities, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking on site. We include bed linen. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.

You can bring one dog. The garden is enclosed, but keep an eye on them near the road.

The bay itself is good for kayaking or coasteering. You can hire kit locally. Compton Beach, about a fifteen minute drive, is better for surfing.

The walking is the main thing here. The coastal path goes right past. Tennyson Down is just west of the bay. That's a good walk with big views. Inland a bit, you've got the National Trust's Freshwater West area.

There's a local pub within walking distance. Freshwater village has shops and cafes, about a mile away.

If you want to explore, Yarmouth is a ten minute drive. It's a nice harbour town. The Needles and Alum Bay are about twenty minutes by car. For a day out, Visit Isle of Wight has a lot of information.
