Dapple Cottage
Dapple Cottage is on Brook Farm, near Brook on the Isle of Wight. It's one of four cottages converted from a stable block. It feels quite new inside.
It sleeps up to six, though two will be on the sofa bed in the living space. There are two bedrooms, both have kingsize beds and their own ensuite bathrooms. Everything is on one level, which is handy.
The main room is open plan: kitchen, dining, and sitting area all together. The french doors open onto a small, south-facing terrace. It gets the sun.
You're about a five minute walk from Brook beach. It's a good beach, west-facing so the sunsets are decent. You can walk along the coast path from there. The National Trust Isle of Wight page has details.
Within half an hour's drive, you've got a fair bit. Osborne House in East Cowes is a big one. The Needles are at the far west tip. Ventnor Botanic Garden is down south. Newport is the main town for shops.
Facilities wise: it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot available. Parking is right outside. You can bring up to two dogs.
It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and finished to a high standard. It's clean and modern.
