The Barn
The Barn is in Brighstone. It's a detached oak barn we converted, in the garden of the main house. The main house is thatched and listed, something like 16th century, if you're into that.
It's a 5 Star place, so it's well-kitted out. Just for two people. One bedroom, with an en-suite shower room. You can have the bed as a king or two singles, just let us know. Everything's on the ground floor.
It’s open plan inside. Kitchen, dining, living area all in one room. Got a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's an electric vehicle charger in your parking space.
You’ve got a private bit of garden with a patio. It looks out over our garden and fields behind.
Brighstone village is a few minutes' walk. There's a shop, a couple of pubs, and a tea room. The National Trust museum is there too, it's small but interesting.
You're right in the middle of the West Wight here. The coast path is close for walking. Compton Bay and Brook Chine are about ten minutes in the car, good for surfing or just the beach. Freshwater Bay is maybe fifteen minutes. If you cycle, the roads around here are quiet.
Facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, bedding and towels included. There's local fishing and a golf course not far. No pets.
