The Barn is a converted oak barn. It's detached and in the garden of the old thatched cottage next door, which is listed. You get your own parking space for one car, which is handy here.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one en-suite shower room. You can have the bed as a king-size or as two singles. It's a 5 Star place, so it's well looked after and everything works. It's warm and dry.
Inside it's all one open room for living, eating and cooking, plus the bedroom. It's bright. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's an electric vehicle charger on the side of the barn.
You can walk into Brighstone village in a few minutes. There's a shop, a couple of places for tea and cake, and a pub. The National Trust has a little museum there too.
It's a good spot for the west of the island. You can get to the coast path, beaches like Compton or Freshwater, and quiet lanes for cycling easily. For a day out, the Needles are about a 20 minute drive. Carisbrooke Castle is about half an hour away.
The garden outside the barn is private. It's got a patio with a table and chairs. You look out over fields.
No pets, sorry.
