Brixton Barn
Brixton Barn is here in Brighstone village. It’s a thatched barn, over two hundred years old. It was one of the National Trust offices around here for a while. It's detached from our cottage, which is next door.
It’s a 5 Star place, which means it’s got everything you need and is in good order. It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. The shower is decent. There's a small but fully fitted kitchen with a dishwasher.
It’s a barn conversion, so the stairs are steep. They’re also a bit narrow. Just something to be aware of.
You’ve got your own parking. The garden is enclosed and private. We provide all the bedding and towels.
The local shop and a pub are about half a mile up the road. The pub does food. The coast path is about a mile and a half away. Compton Bay and the other south coast beaches are a short drive.
If you want to get out, Yarmouth is about twenty minutes by car. Cowes is half an hour. Osborne House is about a twenty-five minute drive. The Needles are about half an hour away.
