Brixton Barn is in Brighstone village. It used to be a National Trust office about two hundred years ago. It's a thatched barn, which is a bit different. Our own cottage, which is also thatched and Grade II listed, is in the same grounds, but you've got the barn to yourselves.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and finished to a high standard. Everything is included, like bedding, towels, and the utilities.
The barn is detached with its own enclosed garden and parking. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine, and WiFi.
In the village, about half a mile away, there's a shop, a pub, and a restaurant. The coast path, what they call the Heritage Coast, is about a mile and a half away for a good walk. The nearest beach is about three and a half miles.
Yarmouth is worth a visit for the harbour and the shops, it's about a fifteen minute drive. You can get a bus from there to places like Osborne House, which was Queen Victoria's house on the island. The Needles are about twenty five minutes away by car.
