Solent View
Solent View is one of three bungalows up on the cliffs at Freshwater. The view is the main thing. You look straight out across The Solent to the English mainland. You can see The Needles from the garden, off to the right. It's a great spot for watching the boats. Being on the cliff top, it's very peaceful, but you do need to keep an eye on kids. The garden is yours, but it's not enclosed.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. Everything's on the ground floor. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean. You get bedding included. There's parking right outside.
There's a shared bit of land a minute's walk away with some football goals, a kids' play area, and pitch and putt. The local shop is practically next door. A decent pub is about a mile and a half up the road in Freshwater.
The beach at Colwell Bay is a short walk down the hill. It's sandy and shingle, good for swimming, and there's a cafe and restaurant there. For a bigger beach, Compton Bay is about a ten minute drive. It's good for surfing and they sometimes find dinosaur fossils there.
You're well placed for the west of the island. The Needles are a couple of miles west. You can walk there along the coast path. The Needles Landmark Attraction has the chairlift and everything. Further afield, places like Osborne House or Carisbrooke Castle are about a 30 minute drive. Cowes is about 25 minutes by car.

No pets, sorry. The bungalows can be booked together if you're a bigger group.
