Brambles Kip is on the Freshwater Bay side of Freshwater, on the west of the Island. It's a single-storey lodge on a holiday site, so everything's on one level. It sleeps four, two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and comfortable but it's not luxury. You get nice views over the downs and the sea from the windows.
The site itself has a bit of space. There's a field for tennis and a pitch and putt course. There's an outdoor play area with football posts, and a launderette on site. The main thing is the location. You're right in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Coastal Path runs right next to the site. You can walk straight out onto the cliff paths. The walk up to Tennyson Down is very good. The Needles are just along the coast.
There's a path down the cliff to a beach. It's about 200 yards. It's a proper sand and shingle beach, not a tourist one. It's quiet.
Freshwater village is a couple of minutes drive away. There are shops, a few pubs, a library, and an indoor swimming pool. Yarmouth is about ten minutes in the car the other way. That's a nice old harbour town.
For a day out, The Needles Park at Alum Bay is five minutes away. They have the chairlift, boat trips, that sort of thing. If you want to go further, Carisbrooke Castle and Osborne House are both within about half an hour's drive. Lots of other places too, like the Ventnor Botanic Garden.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, TV, WiFi, and parking right by the lodge. Bedding is included. There's an electric vehicle charger point on site. The garden is a patio area. No pets, sorry.
