Danehurst Cottage is in Tiptoe, on the edge of the New Forest. It's at the end of a quiet lane, so you won't get any traffic. The view from the back is over fields, and you'll often see the New Forest ponies grazing there.
It sleeps eight people. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star property, so it's comfortable and well equipped. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got kids or dogs. We allow up to two pets.
There's a pub about half a mile away that does food. The nearest shop is in Everton, about a five minute drive. Lymington is close too, that's where the yachting is. A bit further along the coast from there is Keyhaven, which is a nice, quiet beach.
You're right in the New Forest National Park. You can walk straight out onto the heath from the lane. The ponies and cattle wander around freely, so you do need to drive carefully on the local roads.
If you want to explore, Beaulieu Motor Museum is about a 20 minute drive. Exbury Gardens are great, especially in spring. The maritime history in Southampton is about half an hour away. For a day at the beach, Bournemouth and Sandbanks are within a 30 minute drive.
The facilities are what you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings. We provide bedding and towels. There's a cot, highchair and stairgate if you need them. Parking is on site.
