Farriers
Farriers is an annex we rent out on Thorney Hill. It's in the New Forest, so the ponies and cows wander past on the lane sometimes. It's quiet.
It’s a 4 Star place. It's for two people, one bedroom and one bathroom. One well-behaved dog is welcome. Everything is on the ground floor.
The front opens onto a small courtyard area you can use. There's a sitting room, a separate kitchen with a table, and the bedroom. It's got a TV, WiFi, a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on site.
The open forest is about 100 yards up the lane. You can walk straight out from the door. For a pub or shop, you'd drive to Bransgore, which is about a mile and a half. Burley is two miles the other way.
By car, you can be at the coast at Barton-on-Sea or Highcliffe in about 15 minutes. Christchurch harbour is maybe 20. The beaches at Bournemouth are about half an hour.
Within a 30 minute drive you've got the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, and you can walk down to Buckler's Hard from there. Exbury Gardens are good. Moors Valley Country Park is close for walking or cycling. A bit further, but worth it, is Salisbury Cathedral.
