Brookside is in Shobley, on the edge of the New Forest. It's a detached bungalow that was converted from an old outbuilding. It's all on one floor.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower over the bath. There's a seat in the shower. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxurious. The style is simple, country cottage.
You've got your own enclosed garden, which is good if you have dogs. We take up to two pets. There's a conservatory that looks out onto it. Heating is from a woodburning stove, and we leave you some wood to get started. There's a washing machine, TV, WiFi, and parking right outside.
The location is rural. The nearest shop and a pub that does food are both about two miles away in Burley. From the door, you can walk straight out onto the forest. You'll see the ponies and deer. The roads aren't lit, so take a torch if you're walking back from the pub after dark.
Within about half an hour's drive, you can be in Bournemouth for the beach, or Salisbury to see the cathedral. The New Forest has good cycling and riding stables. There are lakes for sailing and fishing at Fordingbridge.
