Chiddock Cottage Alderholt

Chiddock Cottage is one of four barn conversions on our working horse farm in Alderholt. It's all on one floor, which is handy. You've got two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It sleeps four. We allow two dogs.

Because it's a converted barn, the ceilings are high with beams. The floor is polished concrete with rugs on it. It's got an open-plan living area with a wood burner. Outside, there's a decked area that's just for you. You share a courtyard with the other cottages. There's a fire pit, a pizza oven, and some raised beds where we grow herbs and vegetables. You're welcome to use what's ready. We have chickens, so there are fresh eggs you can collect.

The farm is at the end of a track, next to about 40 acres of woodland. You can walk straight into it. The Avon Valley path goes from here all the way to Salisbury if you're up for it.

On the farm, we do archery and axe throwing you can book. You can also fish in the River Avon. If you're bringing a horse, we can arrange livery. There's a children's play area and parking right outside. We've also put in an electric vehicle charger.

The local shop is about two miles away in the village. The nearest pub and restaurant is about the same distance.

For days out, Moors Valley Country Park is very close. They have cycling, a golf course, and Segways. The New Forest is right on the doorstep. The coast, around Bournemouth and Sandbanks, is about a 40-minute drive. Salisbury and Winchester are both easy to reach by car.
