Avondale
Avondale is in Woodgreen, on the edge of the New Forest. It's a four-bedroom house that sleeps eight, with two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable.
The living room has a wood burner. The kitchen is open plan, with a big window looking out over the back garden and the fields. There's a smaller snug room at the back, too.
You'll see New Forest ponies, donkeys, and cattle wandering around the village. They often come right up to the front gate. The common is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, and you can start walks or bike rides straight from the door.
There's a village pub a few minutes' walk away. It serves food. There's also a community-run village shop and post office.
Fordingbridge is the nearest town, about five minutes by car. It has a decent grocer and a pub on the river. There's a waterpark nearby for wakeboarding and sailing, and you can go horse riding in the forest.
If you drive for about half an hour south, you get to the beaches at Southbourne, Bournemouth, and Sandbanks. Salisbury and Winchester are both within a 40-minute drive for a day out.
The house has an enclosed garden, parking, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi. You can bring two dogs. There's an electric vehicle charger.
