Avondale is in Woodgreen, a village on the edge of the New Forest. It's a house, not a thatched cottage. It sleeps eight people in four bedrooms, with two bathrooms.
The main thing is the view from the kitchen. The back looks out over fields and into the New Forest itself. You'll often see New Forest ponies or cattle wandering past the front garden too.
Inside, it's been done up to a high standard, which is what the 5 Star rating means. There's a wood burner in the living room, and a separate snug room at the back. The kitchen is open plan and has a big table.
The stairs are normal stairs. The garden is enclosed. There's parking on the drive, and an electric vehicle charger.
In the village, there's a community-run shop and post office. The pub is a few minutes' walk away and does food.
You can walk or cycle straight from the door onto Woodgreen Common and into the National Park. For a bigger shop, Fordingbridge is about two miles away. It's a small town with a river and a medieval bridge, with butchers and other local shops.
Within about half an hour's drive, you've got a few options. There's the water park at Fordingbridge for activities. The beaches at Bournemouth and Sandbanks are to the south. Salisbury and Winchester are to the north and east, both cathedral cities with a lot of history.

Facilities include all the bedding and towels, the WiFi, the dishwasher and washing machine. It's a pet-friendly property, for up to two dogs.
