The Old Post Office

The Old Post Office is here in Lower Burgate. It's a studio annexe attached to our house. It's compact, but it's got everything you need for two people. One bedroom and one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean but it's not a luxury hotel.

The building used to be a wheelwright's, a post office, and a bakery in the 1800s. Our house is next door, and there are two other holiday lets in the grounds, Walnut Tree Cottage and The Hideaway. So if you've got friends who want to come at the same time, you can all be here but have your own space.

You've got your own parking spot and a private patio area. There's a big shared lawn, which we use with our kids too. There's bike storage if you need it.

You're right on the edge of the New Forest. It's literally across the road. You can walk straight out onto the heath. There's a pub about 400 yards down the road that does food. Fordingbridge is a mile away for shops and cafes. It's on the River Avon.

For days out, Moors Valley Country Park is good for walking and cycling. The New Forest Water Park is nearby if you fancy wakeboarding. Salisbury is about a 20 minute drive for the cathedral. The coast at Bournemouth is roughly 40 minutes.

In terms of what's here, it's all included: bed linen, towels, WiFi, TV, parking. There's a shower. No pets, I'm afraid.
