The Old Post Office
The Old Post Office is a studio annexe attached to our house. It's compact, but it's done up nicely for two people. The building used to be the village post office and bakery a long time ago.
It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean and everything works, but it's not a luxury hotel. You've got your own front door and parking space. There's a little sitting-out area too. The main lawn is shared with us and our kids, and with guests from the other two cottages we have here. That works well if a few friends want to book together but have their own space.
You're on the edge of the New Forest. Literally opposite the house are footpaths straight into the park. You'll see the ponies. We've got a shed if you bring bikes.
Fordingbridge is about a mile away. It's a nice little town with shops and places to eat by the river. There's a pub a mile in the other direction. For bigger days out, the New Forest Water Park and Moors Valley Country Park are close.
You can get to Salisbury, Winchester, or the coast at Bournemouth in under half an hour by car. Stonehenge is about 40 minutes away.
Facilities are what you'd expect. There's a shower, TV, WiFi, and the bedding and towels are included. There's parking. No pets, sorry.
