Bert's Cottage is in Fordingbridge. It's a Victorian semi, right near the town centre. You can walk to the shops and pubs in a couple of minutes. It's got two parking spaces, which is handy for a town centre place.
It sleeps five in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. The garden at the back is enclosed, so it's safe for kids and dogs. We can take one well-behaved pet.
The cottage has a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean, not modern or luxurious. It feels like a house. It has the things you need: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV.
Fordingbridge itself is a proper market town. There's a medieval bridge over the River Avon. The high street has independent shops and a few places to eat. The nearest pub is about 300 yards away.
You're on the edge of the New Forest. You can walk straight out into it from the edge of town. The River Avon is good for walking along too.For a day out, you can drive into the Forest properly. About 15 minutes away there's a campsite that lets visitors use their indoor pool and hires out bikes. There's horse riding and golf nearby.
If you want the coast, Bournemouth and Poole are about a 45 minute drive. Salisbury and Winchester cathedrals are both within about a 40 minute drive. National Trust has places like Mottisfont nearby.
Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.
