Little Barn
This is Little Barn in Alderholt. It's a one bedroom place, sleeps two. It's detached, sits on a working stud farm. You'll see horses about. The conversion's been done to keep it light and feel spacious, with a high vaulted ceiling and beams. The floor's polished concrete with rugs on it.
It's all on one level, so no stairs to worry about. You've got your own decked area outside. There's a shared courtyard garden too with veg beds, a fire pit, and a pizza oven. The owners keep chickens, so you can get fresh eggs.
The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable and well set up. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, parking, and WiFi. We can also recharge an electric car. You can bring up to two dogs.
For the area, you can walk straight into 40 acres of woodland from the farm track. The Avon Valley path goes right from Christchurch to Salisbury if you're up for it. On the farm itself, you can sometimes book archery or axe throwing, and there's fishing in the River Avon. The New Forest is right on the doorstep.
Within about half an hour, you've got Moors Valley Country Park for cycling and walking, and Avon Heath Country Park. Fordingbridge and Ringwood are close for shops and pubs. The south coast, around Bournemouth and Sandbanks, is about a 15 mile drive. Salisbury and Winchester are both easily reachable by car.
There's a small shop on the farm. The nearest proper pub or restaurant is about two miles away.
