Forest Lodge
This is Forest Lodge, near South Gorley in the New Forest. It's a detached place, sleeps two, one bedroom and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after.
It's in the grounds of our house, but it's on its own down a private path, you won't see us. You get your own parking area and a garden that's enclosed.
The main thing is the location. The back gate opens straight onto the forest. You'll see the ponies, cattle, deer, all of it, right from the garden. If you walk or cycle, you can just go. There's a kids' play area here too, with some goalposts.
If you've got horses, we have stabling and grazing for two. You just need to arrange it with us beforehand.
Inside, it's all on the ground floor. There's a washing machine, TV, WiFi, and the bedding and towels are included. We can take up to two dogs.
There's a shop and a decent pub about a mile away. For riding lessons or hacks, there's a school just down the road.
Ringwood and Fordingbridge are about four miles away for supermarkets and things. Salisbury, with the cathedral, is about half an hour's drive. If you want the coast, Bournemouth and Poole are roughly 15 miles, so maybe 40 minutes depending on traffic.
