Duck Island Cottage is near Ringwood in Hampshire, on the edge of the New Forest. It’s a detached cottage at the end of a lane. You’ve got a garden that’s pretty sunny.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom with a walk-in shower. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s clean and comfortable, not huge. The style is modern inside.
The open plan living area is all one space, which feels quite light. The garden is south facing so it does get the sun. There’s a BBQ out there.
You’re about a ten-minute drive from Ringwood town centre. There’s a local pub you can walk to in about fifteen minutes. For the New Forest, you can be walking in woods or seeing ponies in five minutes by car.
The Dorset coast is within half an hour. You can get to places like Highcliffe Beach or Mudeford Sandbank. Corfe Castle is about 40 minutes away if the traffic’s okay. The National Trust New Forest site has walking information. New Forest National Park Authority is useful for planning too.
Facilities: there’s parking on the drive, a bike store with a padlock, WiFi, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
