The Retreat
The Retreat is a new lodge near St Leonards in Dorset. It’s detached and sleeps two people in one bedroom.
It’s a 5 Star place, which means it’s high spec and very comfortable. Everything is on one level, which is handy. The main room is open plan. There’s a kitchen area, a sofa, and a wood burner. The bedroom has an en-suite shower room.
Outside, there’s a private, enclosed garden. It has a patio with a hot tub. There’s also a wood-fired sauna and a plunge pool out there.
You’re about a 15-minute drive from the coast at Southbourne or Avon Beach. Moors Valley Country Park is very close for walks or cycling. If you want something more active, the Go Ape treetop course is there too.
Within half an hour you can get to the New Forest Water Park, the Beaulieu Motor Museum, or the golf course at Moors Valley. Bournemouth is about 25 minutes away.
The lodge has parking. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot available. One well-behaved dog is welcome. It has wheelchair accessible entrance and walk-in showers.
