The Parlour is in Ferndown, Dorset. It's a converted stable, part of a small group of cottages. It's down a track past some horses. It's quiet and feels properly rural.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with double beds, and each has its own bathroom. One is on the ground floor. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's been done up well. It's comfortable and not at all basic.
There's a private, enclosed garden with a hot tub. The inside is open plan, with a wood burner. The owners have put in a record player with a stack of vinyl, which is a nice touch. There's a shared games room with table tennis and table football. Outside, there's also a play area for kids and a big lawn with badminton and things.
You're right on the Castleman Trailway for cycling and walking. You can follow the gravel track straight to a pub and a golf course. The proper countryside of Cranborne Chase and the Jurassic Coast are about a 20-30 minute drive.
The beaches at Bournemouth and Poole are about 10 miles east. If you want National Trust places, Kingston Lacy and Badbury Rings are close. Wimborne Minster town is a few miles away for shops and cafes.
Facilities: It has pretty much everything. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, BBQ, all bedding and towels included. It's wheelchair friendly to get in and has a ground floor bedroom and shower. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking right outside.
Just so you know, there are horses and livestock nearby, so no fireworks allowed. That's about it.
