The Parlour
The Parlour is in Ferndown, Dorset. It's one of five converted cottages next to some horse stables. You get there via a track off the main road.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well fitted out. Everything's on the ground floor, which is good if you have trouble with stairs.
You get your own enclosed patio with a hot tub. There's a shared games room with table tennis and table football. It's a family-friendly set up, with a play area outside, so it suits people with kids. You can bring up to two dogs.
The place has a record player and a stack of old vinyl. The decor is quite bold, with feature walls in the bedrooms. It's been done with a lot of thought.
For walks and cycles, you're right on the Castleman Trailway. That's part of the National Cycle Network. You can walk straight to a local pub and a golf course from here. Please don't set off any fireworks, because of the horses and livestock nearby.
You're about a ten mile drive from the beaches at Bournemouth and Poole. Further along that coast you get Sandbanks and Studland Bay. The Kingston Lacy Estate and Badbury Rings are nearby if you like National Trust properties. The Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site and Cranborne Chase are both about a half hour drive, maybe a bit less depending on traffic.
The facilities cover most things: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, wood burner. Bedding and towels are included. There's on-site parking. It's wheelchair accessible to get in, though it's best to check the full layout if you have specific needs.
