Castle House Cottage is in Horton, Dorset. It's attached to our house, but you have your own front door, so it's private. There's a drive for you to park on, and a bit of garden out the back that's yours to use.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and has everything you need. There's a woodburning stove for the cooler evenings.
The stairs are cottage stairs. They're not a ladder, but they're steeper than modern ones. Something to be aware of.
There's a pub in the village, about a five minute walk. The shop is a couple of miles away in Wimborne St Giles, so you'll probably want to drive for a big shop. The famous Horton Tower is just across the field. It was in a Thomas Hardy film.
You're well placed here. The New Forest is about a 20 minute drive. Poole Harbour and the beaches at Sandbanks and Bournemouth are under half an hour. For a day out, you've got Kingston Lacy house or Moors Valley Country Park, both about 15 minutes away.
Inside, it's got what you'd expect: a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We allow one well-behaved dog.
