The Riding House is in Wimborne St Giles, Dorset. It's a 17th century building that was part of a big estate's stables. We had it fully renovated a few years back. It's detached and sleeps eighteen.
Eight bedrooms, all with king size beds and their own bathrooms. Each bathroom has both a bath and a walk-in shower. The beds are made up with Egyptian cotton linen. There are robes in every room.
Downstairs, there's a big living room with sofas and a wood burner. There's an honesty bar with spirits and wine. The dining room has two long tables. The kitchen is large and fully equipped for cooking for a group. We can arrange a caterer if you want, you just need to ask the house manager beforehand.
The house is wheelchair accessible. There's a wet room on the ground floor, grab rails, and the doorways are wide. There's parking on site and a patio area with garden furniture.
You're on a private estate with about 5,500 acres of parkland to walk in. The local pub and a shop are about two miles away in the village.
For days out, the coast at Bournemouth or Poole is about a 20 minute drive. The New Forest is close, maybe 25 minutes. Salisbury and its cathedral are roughly half an hour away. Stonehenge is about 40 minutes by car.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's a cot and a highchair here if you need them. All bedding and towels are included.
