Buckland Lodge
This is Buckland Lodge. It's a detached house on our farm in Pentridge, a small hamlet. It's very quiet out here.
The house sleeps three people. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Everything is on the ground floor, so there are no stairs to worry about. It's a 4 Star place, so it's well kept and comfortable. You get your own garden area too.
Being a working dairy farm, you'll see the cows around. Sometimes you hear farm noise, but it's not constant. The night sky is very dark here because it's in the Cranborne Chase Dark Sky Reserve. On a clear night, you can see a lot of stars.
There are footpaths right from the door. You can walk straight into Martin Down National Nature Reserve from here. For a bigger day out, the New Forest is about 20 minutes away by car.
The south coast and the Jurassic Coast are about 40 minutes' drive. Salisbury is roughly half an hour. Places like Longleat or Monkey World are within an hour if you fancy that sort of trip.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. No pets, sorry.
