Right, Saddle Room. It's a little single-storey barn conversion on our farm in Martin. It was the farm's saddle room, so it's long and narrow. Sleeps two in one bedroom. Everything's on one level.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's well done, clean and comfortable. There's a woodburner, which is nice in the cooler months. You've got a little patio area right outside your front door, and you can use the tables in the orchard too.
The farm's quiet. You can walk up and see the chickens, the horses, and the sheep in the field. Martin Down is right on the edge of the farm, so you can just walk straight out onto the nature reserve. It's good for walking and cycling from the door.
The village has a community shop that opens most days. The nearest pub is about three miles away in Damerham. The New Forest boundary is about a 15 minute drive. Fordingbridge is a bit closer, that's got shops and cafes along the river.
Salisbury is about 8 miles. You've got the cathedral, of course, and the city has everything you need. If you're driving further, you can get to the coast at Bournemouth or the Jurassic Coast in under an hour. Stonehenge is about half an hour away.
Facilities are straightforward: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right there. No pets, sorry, because of the farm animals.
