Princess Cottage

Princess Cottage is in Martin, Hampshire. It's a detached barn conversion. Our house is next door, but you have your own separate garden and patio area. There's a church next to the garden, which is old.

It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's all on one floor, which makes it easy.

The village shop is a hundred yards away. It's good for basics. The pub is in a neighbouring village, about three miles away.

Martin Down is on your doorstep, literally a few hundred yards away. It's a National Nature Reserve, great for walks. If you ride, there are bridleways and we can provide stabling for up to four horses. There's a field behind the property.

You're about a 20 to 30 minute drive from a lot. Salisbury and Winchester are both cathedral cities. So is Southampton, which has the SeaCity Museum and ferries to the Isle of Wight. The south coast beaches at Bournemouth are about 30 minutes away.

The New Forest is right there. You can drive into it in a few minutes. New Forest National Park Authority has all the information for walking and cycling. Beaulieu is a 25 minute drive.

In terms of what's here, you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. There's an enclosed garden with a barbecue. There's a kids' play area, a cot, and a highchair. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is on site. No pets, I'm afraid.

For planning days out, these are useful: National Trust Hampshire and Hampshire Countryside.
