The Loft House
The Loft House is in Merley, just outside Wimborne. It's down a private drive so it's quiet. It's a detached building, sort of a converted outhouse. It's for two people only, one bedroom and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating.
You come in on the ground floor. There's a small kitchen and a shower room. The main living space is upstairs. It's open plan, so the bed, sitting area and dining table are all in one room under a vaulted ceiling with wooden beams. It feels quite spacious up there. There's a patio area outside with a table and chairs.
The stairs are a bit steep, because it is a loft conversion. Something to be aware of.
Wimborne Minster is about two miles away. It's a proper market town with shops, a few supermarkets, and some pubs that do food. The local pub in Merley is a five minute walk. It's a community pub, does decent food.
You're well placed for getting out. Poole Harbour and the beaches at Sandbanks are about a 20 minute drive. The Kingston Lacy estate is even closer, good for walks. Corfe Castle and the Purbeck hills are maybe half an hour away. The Jurassic Coast at Lulworth or Durdle Door is about 40 minutes, depending on traffic.
For facilities: there's parking right outside, a washing machine, WiFi, and bedding and towels are included. It's all electric. No pets.
A friend of mine has a beach hut on Bournemouth beach that he rents out by the day. If you're interested, I can send you the details when you book. It comes with its own parking space.
