Greenbank Cottage

Greenbank Cottage is in Burley, right in the New Forest. It's a detached cottage, so you're not joined to anyone. It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's a period place, so the ceilings are a bit lower in spots.

It sleeps four in two double bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a bath and shower over it. The stairs are fine.

You've got a log burner in the sitting room and another one in the dining room. The kitchen has an Aga, so that takes a bit of getting used to if you haven't used one before. There's a separate outdoor kitchen area with a BBQ, which is useful if you've got good weather.

The garden is yours to use. There's parking on site. It's all on one level from the parking area to the front door, so that's helpful.

You're a short walk from Burley village centre. There are a couple of pubs that serve food, some tea rooms, and a cycle hire place. The New Forest ponies and cattle wander through the village all the time, so you'll see them from the window.

You can walk straight into the forest from the cottage. If you want to drive, Bournemouth's sandy beaches are about nine miles away. Lymington and its marina are about a twenty-minute drive. The coast at Mudeford is good for a walk.
