Heathfield Lodge
Heathfield Lodge is mine, it's in Hampshire just on the edge of the New Forest. It's a thatched cottage attached to my house, but it's entirely separate.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean, everything's new and it works.
You've got a private verandah and garden area. It looks out over fields and woods. The thatch is nice but the windows aren't huge, it's a cottage. The bathroom has a good shower.
The location is quiet. You'll need a car. The local shop is about a mile away. There's a village pub within walking distance, maybe fifteen minutes.
You're right on the edge of the New Forest. You can walk straight out from the cottage into the forest. You'll see the ponies. Bournemouth and Christchurch beaches are about twenty minutes by car. Lymington is similar, for the harbour and ferries to the Isle of Wight.
Other places nearby: Exbury Gardens are beautiful, and the Beaulieu Motor Museum is worth a visit, even if you're not that into cars. Both are about a twenty minute drive.
Facilities are straightforward. There's a washing machine, WiFi, TV, a cot if you need it. Bedding and towels are included. Sorry, no pets.
