Brookside Cottage

Brookside Cottage is in Burley, in the New Forest. It's a detached house on a quiet lane, with fields behind it.

It sleeps seven people in four bedrooms. There's one bathroom, plus a separate toilet downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. The ceilings are low in the bedrooms upstairs, just so you know.

You can walk straight out the door onto the forest paths. The New Forest ponies wander around the village. The garden gets the sun and has a table and chairs. You can park three cars.

Inside, it's an open plan kitchen and dining room with a Rayburn and French doors. There's a separate living room with an open fire. It's got a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and bedding and towels are included.

Burley village centre is about a mile away. There are a few shops, pubs, tea rooms and an ice cream place. The local bus stop is there if you need it.

You're in the middle of the New Forest National Park. You can drive to Lymington in about 20 minutes for the ferry to the Isle of Wight. Bournemouth and Poole are about a 30-minute drive for the beaches. Salisbury and its cathedral are a bit further, maybe 40 minutes.

If you're planning days out, these sites are useful: New Forest National Park Authority and National Trust New Forest.

You can bring up to two dogs.
