Brookside Cottage

This is Brookside Cottage. It's in Burley, which is right in the New Forest. You can walk straight out the back and be on the paths. You'll see the ponies around. It's detached, so you're not sharing a wall.

It sleeps seven, four bedrooms, one bathroom. They give it a 4 Star rating. It's a decent family house.

Downstairs, the kitchen's open plan with a Rayburn and doors to the garden. There's a separate living room with an open fire. There's also a single bedroom and a toilet on the ground floor. Useful if someone doesn't want the stairs.

Upstairs are three more bedrooms. They've all got sloping ceilings because it's a cottage, so mind your head. There's parking for three cars.

The garden's a good size. There's a table and chairs out there.

It's about a mile from the village centre. Burley's got a few shops, cafes and pubs. The New Forest itself is all around you. For something bigger, Ringwood is five miles away.

If you want to drive out, Lymington is good for a wander around the marina and there's a ferry to the Isle of Wight. The beaches at Bournemouth and Poole are within reach. Salisbury Cathedral is worth a trip. For a family day, you've got places like the Beaulieu Motor Museum or Marwell Zoo about half an hour away.

For walks and information about the area, the New Forest National Park website has proper maps and details.

Facilities: it's got the woodburner, dishwasher, washing machine, TV, WiFi, and bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
